Casino Marketing Tips

Casino

There’s something incredibly luxuriating about walking into a casino. The lights, the sounds (even though pennies stopped dropping long ago) and the smell all play on our senses to create a mood of excitement and anticipation. These emotions are a major factor in the success of casino marketing.

A successful casino does much more than offer gambling options. Many casinos have hotels, conference facilities and other event spaces that bring in additional revenue. Casinos also offer dining and entertainment options, which are a big draw for family groups and friends. A casino’s marketing needs to focus on attracting these group guests.

Because large sums of money are handled within a casino, both patrons and staff may be tempted to cheat or steal. Casinos use security measures to prevent these incidents, including sophisticated surveillance systems that provide a high-tech “eye in the sky” view of all activity.

While Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci are the stars of Casino, it’s Sharon Stone who steals the show. She delivers a powerhouse performance that’s so real you can feel it in your gut. Her character, Ginger, isn’t a pretty girl but she never loses our sympathy. Despite being one of the longest movies Martin Scorsese has made, Casino remains riveting throughout. This is largely due to its taut direction and masterful editing. It may be the last great film from De Niro before his downward spiral, which began with the 1995 movie Heat.
